Brought to light

Social media platforms keep us glued to their screens. Addicted to tiny dopamine boosts, we spend hours doomscrolling through meaningless content. Jensen Denis had wasted enough time like this, so he created a short film to highlight the value of disconnecting from the digital world.

The protagonist is a digital avatar called Cooper. When an irregularity sparks his curiosity, he discovers unseen secrets in archives and tries to reveal his findings to the real world. The time-consuming, hands-on process of stop motion contrasts with the fast-paced, fleeting engagement of short-form content. By creating physical puppets and sets, Jensen highlights the value of something crafted over time above something designed for instant consumption.
